In case there is anyone out there that has not given up on finding new information on this blog, I have an update. First, the family. Gwyneth is four weeks old today and is beginning to adjust to our schedule (rather than the other way around). Maggie is taking to the big sister role quite well and seems to have overcome whatever jealousy/resentment she may have had when Gwyneth first came home. Marcia is feeling a lot better, although she technically has two more weeks of “recovery” during which she needs to be careful and not lift anything heavier than the baby. Of course, like any mother of a newborn, she is not getting as much sleep as she would like. For myself, I am just trying to be a good dad, husband, and Christian (and they all seem to be tied together). Second, the ministry. A quick glance at our newly posted itinerary will tell you that we have our first deputation meeting of the year on Sunday. Thankfully, it is only 45 minutes away, but that will be plenty for us on this first time with two kids. Our support level stands at 82%, and we honestly don't know who the Lord will use to provide the rest of our support. Please pray with us about this matter as well as our need for more meetings. Beyond April, our meetings are pretty scant. I'm working on it, but I'm also hoping that we will be leaving for Wales by May at the same time. |
