Yesterday was Gwyneth's two-month birthday. Can two months have already passed?! We are starting to get back to normal now, whatever that is. In other news, we went to Atlanta this past weekend for a deputation meeting. Have you ever taken an overnight trip with a 21 month old and a 2 month old? I would not recommend it – especially if you are all staying in one hotel room and you are supposed to have a ministry in the morning. But what can you do? Reserve an extra room for the kids? (“Okay, girls. No TV, keep the noise down, and call us if you need anything.”) In actuality, everything went really well, and we must thank the Lord for His kindness in that way. Gwyneth actually slept longer than she ever has before. Maybe we should stay in hotels more often… Thankfully, pretty much all of our meetings require just one or two nights away from home. But please pray that the Lord will provide the rest our support and that we can be content, sane, and spiritually productive while we wait on His timing. |
