May and June mark our family's personal “festival of holidays.” We begin with Mother's Day, with Marcia's birthday shortly after that (May 18), followed by Maggie's birthday (May 28), Memorial Day, my birthday (June 4), our anniversary (June 11), and then culminating with the grandest of special days, Father's Day.:) Marcia's birthday was Sunday (see photo), and the church we were visiting was thoughtful enough to have us come to the front of the auditorium so they could sing “Happy Birthday” to her and present her with a gift. |
