Settled for the moment…

We returned back to Greenville from Myrtle Beach last Thursday. The funeral service went well, and we were grateful for the outpouring of sympathy from numerous friends of the family. We were glad that we could attend the funeral as well as stay over there for a few days.

We also enjoyed being home for July 4th, although we were a bit worn out from our time at Myrtle Beach. We celebrated with the Casillas fam (Marcia and Soraya are sisters) and some other friends that evening and had a good time. Between the couples badminton tournament, the patriotic singing, the US Presidents trivia questions, and the near-miss bottle rocket incident, there was plenty of excitement for all.:-)

On Saturday I drove by myself up to Roanoke Rapids, NC, for a meeting (about 6 hours away). After being in Myrtle Beach all week it just didn't make sense to try to take everyone so far for the weekend. The folks at Central Baptist Church were very hospitable to me, but I did miss Marcia and the girls, so I drove back Sunday night and arrived home around 2 a.m.

So now we are home for the next several days, until we leave for a July 20 meeting in Williamsburg, VA. Our big focus right now is the need to get ready to leave for Wales – sorting through things, throwing things away, consolidating many boxes into few boxes, etc.
