Since we are leaving in November, we have a lot of packing to do. So far, the hardest thing by far is deciding what to do with our personal memorabilia. We know that space is going to be at a premium wherever we live in Wales (by the way, that's a prayer request), and we can't just take anything and everything. So what are we supposed to with jr./sr. high school yearbooks? college yearbooks? my letterman's jacket? piles of high school and college journals? old Bibles? my 5th grade parks & recreation basketball trophy? my shoebox of 20-year-old baskeball cards? I admit that some of those are easier decisions than others, but still, I hate the thought of getting rid of something that I will someday wish I had. Beside the difficult decisions, I've found that going through all this stuff can have an incredibly side-tracking effect. I mean, a couple of nights ago I found myself engrossed in a stack of English papers from 7th grade-definitely not the point of the evening.
Anyway, we will continue to plow along. Time is running short. At this point, we have fewer than 30 days, excluding times we are out of town, until we must have everything packed and out the door.
