A short note for Christmas…

Here a few things that have been going on with us here in Wales.

1. Carol service last night – we had a great time with about 45 or 50 other people, most of them visitors and a good number of non-Christians. Joe did a great job preaching the gospel too.

2. We all got sick last week – really sick. We've recovered now, but we have sort of been set back a little with the few Christmasy things we had planned – you can fill in the blanks. Praise the Lord we are all better now!

3. We are having the Nicholsons and some of their friends from Oxford over to our house for Christmas dinner. The ladies have a great meal planned and the afternoon/evening will be full of festive holiday cheer.:-) We mistakenly brought to Wales with us a couple 100-light strings of 110v Christmas lights, but thankfully the Nicholsons were able to loan us a small converter to make them work on our 220v sockets. They are now adorning the walls of our dining room – it's awesome! We don't even need the regular overhead light.

4. Alas, we still do not have internet access in our apartment – due to things out of our control. We probably will not have it until the middle of January either. Also, I found out today that the library, my main source of wifi, will be closed for 10 days (just another “welcome to North Wales moment”). So, I'm not sure how soon I will be able to update the blog again.

So, that's a short update. We are so thankful to be in Wales and are glad for those who keep track of us, check on us, write to us, and pray for us. May you have a Merry Christmas remembering the birth of our Saviour.
