Last post of the year…

First, a couple newsy items. Christmas was great. We had a wonderful time with friends and were even inspired to attempt a Christmas pageant using our children. The sheep (Gwyneth) had to go to bed before the pageant and various other actors had their struggles, but we did stage something like a Christmas pageant and read the nativity account.

We've also enjoyed fellowship with those of Lighthouse Baptist Church as well as a few opportunities for ministry. Life really slows down over the holidays here in Abergele, and with the unusually cold weather we have not seen many folks out and about. But as we get more settled, we are looking forward to making contact with more non-Christians around us.

What a year it has been. We can only be amazed at what the Lord has done for us in 2008. Sometimes we can still hardly believe that we are here serving the Lord in Wales. I think that one major thing we have learned since 1 January until today is that the Lord is only gracious to us 100% of the time. Only He knows how much we don't deserve it, but (as they say over here) there we are. We are excited about what He has in store for us in 2009. Happy New Year!
