In the midst of packing…

We're so grateful for those who make the effort to keep track of what is happening with us – I wish I had more to report sometimes!

Since we are moving next week – all week, really, although the “official” day is 24 September – we feel like we are going in a hundred directions at once right now. We have had enough offers for help that we are planning to do this move by ourselves rather than hire a removal company. Just pray that I can back our moving truck up our narrow drive without damaging anything!

We had dinner in the home of some non-Christian friends last night – the first such occasion for us since we've come to Wales. That's an encouraging development.

The Bible club has continued, although we have yet to see very many kids come. We're just going to keep having it every Thursday all school term and pray that the Lord draws them in. Of course, we're looking for ways to promote it as well. Most families we know have children the same age as our own kids – too young for the club, really. And we don't think it would be wise to be very aggressive in inviting kids we don't know.

With everything else going, I have not been able to follow up with the RE program at the school. Lord willing, I will at least drop in next week. I think I'm going to make some kind of proposal for how I might be able to help, although right now I'm not able to draw up a detailed program, etc.

I should go now – I have some serious moving prep to do this morning! And if we had any doubts about moving, the extremely loud, drunken, obscenity-laced, somewhat violent dispute that took place below our bedroom window last night pretty much sealed the deal for us!
