Ministry matters…

I began volunteering again at the local youth centre. We are running a program for high school kids who have been sent to “inclusion,” which is kind of a half-way house for kids who have been in trouble at school. Rather than expelling or suspending them, the school sends them to inclusion, where they have to do their school work and behave until they’ve earned the right to go back to school. Sometimes it doesn’t work very well, which I think is what has led to some of them being sent over to the youth centre. I’m basically helping with the different educational and life skills programs they run there. Today we only had for guys come, so it was pretty low key.

Tomorrow is our coffee drop-in, so please pray that we would have a good number drop in.

Next Thursday night is our Carol Service. Last year we had around 50 people come, a good number of them being non-Christians. It can be a great opportunity to give the gospel to people who would not otherwise come to our church.
