“You all right?” is a greeting people use here – kind of like “How’re you doing?” or something. The key is not to be thrown off by it, because it can often sound like the person is concerned and is actually checking to see if you are okay. Nope – just saying hi.
Anyway, if you were to ask us if we were alright, you might get a mixed response. We are still waiting for our internet service to go live, after being assured it would go live on the 8th of December (we’ve been waiting since we moved on October 24th). Every time I call the internet provider I end up talking to several different people and they all tell me something different. Talk about frustrating – especially with Christmas coming on. And the kids have been sick for a week now, with only small signs of getting better. Bad cough, runny nose, crying, etc. You can imagine what Marcia’s life has been like lately.
Am I complaining? Ummm… I can guess I can say the matters above were merely prayer requests, and they are. But I would be lying if I said we haven’t complained at least a little lately. But we’re praying too.
And we do believe that the Lord is good and are trying to accept our latest trials as from His hand. I know these things don’t involve what we would all consider to be huge amounts of suffering. They are more like nagging inconveniences. But they can be trying, nonetheless.
