Carol Service Recap

Thanks to those who prayed for our carol service on Thursday night. As the starting time drew near, hardly anyone was there, and we were wondering if any visitors would join us. Thankfully, we had several visitors stream in just before the service began, and I think we had around a total of 40 in attendance. The great thing was that about half of those were visitors – some believers, some non-believers, and some who left so quickly afterward that we have no guess. We were especially encouraged to have one friend visit whom we have known since we first arrived. This person has been friendly but always very stand-offish about spiritual matters. We did not even get the chance to invite her to the carol service, but I think she got a leaflet through her door.

Overall, we were pretty happy with how things went. The main disappointment was that several of our own church folks were not there, for various reasons. I preached a short Christmas-gospel message, and it was a real joy to have some extra non-Christians there to hear it.
