Happy St. David’s Day!

Did you know that today is a special holiday? We celebrate St. David’s Day here in Wales on the first of March every year. We went to the children’s story time this morning at the library, where we knew there would be a celebration. Many kids wore Welsh paraphernalia such as jerseys, hats, or full-fledged costumes. Our girls wore the welsh girl costumes, something for which they have been waiting with great anticipation. Tea, coffee, and bara brith were served, and we had a nice time mingling with other parents.

So, if you want to be cool, be sure to pin a leek or daffodil to your lapel today, or at least make sure you sing a few lines of Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau !
