And not just any visitors! Mark and Paula Batory will be staying in our home from Thursday until Monday. Dr. Batory is the executive director of our mission board, and he and his wife are good friends of ours, having encouraged us along in the early stages of considering working in foreign missions. We’re excited about their coming and know that it will be an uplifting time. He will be preaching in our church both morning and evening, so we’re looking forward to introducing them to the church as well.
Of course, there is also the pressure to make sure the house is perfect and impress “the boss”, etc., but we’re not too worried about that. If nothing else, I’m sure our kids will quickly dispatch with any facade of perfection that we try to erect anyway.:-) And that’s fine.
